Diary of Agnes Knox Gordon [manuscript] 1810-1839.

The beginning of the diary was reused for flour milling accounts, 1832-1834. The diary, which begins in 1812, contains very brief entries recording a stormy voyage to Scotland, life in Scotland, removal to Liverpool, birth of her children, illnesses in the family, news from Virginia, current events, holidays, financial reverses, return to Virginia, and subsequent life of herself and her children. Of interest is a brief note about her acquaintance with Washington Irving.
